Last week, I had my husband's car parked up at work and I was notified that our car was broken into. The passenger side window was smashed and the thief took our GPS unit. The repair for the window cost 240 and the unit itself would be about 500. On average, how much do employers pay for health insurance in the USA?

So I need a statisitic, on average, how much employers provide healthcare insurance to employees? I've got that from Jan 1st 2014 the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will impose a $2000 fine on employers with over 50 employees who do not offer health insurance. But statistics for how much employers actually provide health insurance are all over the place... Typically, employers pay about 85% of the insurance premium for their employees In 2008, over 95% of employers with at least 50 employees offered health insurance. the percentage of large firms offering these benefits fell from 66% in 1988 to 34% in 2002 These quotes are from wikipedia, but I've been looking at other sites too. I just don't know what to believe, or how to understand what they actually mean. What percentage of employers actually provide adequate health insurance to it's full time employees?

Why the **** is my car insurance so high?

I don't have a car, but I just checked how much my insurance would be if I did have a car.... $850 monthly, and $10,000 yearly. Why the **** is it so high? I'm in Canada &19 years old... I don't think this can be right, I always see young with their own cars, no way they are paying this much ... on top of it all there is gas, oil changes, all that other stuff that will cost thousands more.

So this is personal, but I'm going to be emancipated soon or at least when I turn 18, and I'm going to be living in my car or possibly renting at a friends house for around $100. I'm not made of money, I only have a weekend part time job and another one possibly soon. I'm a full time high school student with a GPA of 2.6 and I'll turn 18 in November. I know that my GPA isn't stellar but last semester I made a 4.0 and this semester I'll have at least a 3.4. I can't get a STUPID QUOTE because I'm not 18 yet and I tried fibbing my age, but it was wise to me and shut me out anyway. I live in Marietta, GA (Cobb County), and I drive a 2000 Buick regal. Is buying health insurance across state lines just a strategy to lower quality?

Allowing states to issue insurance across state lines allows the originator to bypass the regulations of the state being sold to. Since the regulations insure quality; and states with the crappiest quality insurance due to lack of regulation can be the most affordable is this not another example of trading gold for candy as offered by the GOP?

I will be quitting my full-time job to attend Grad school full-time in May. Unfortunately I will lose my health insurance covered by my employer. I really cannot go with out health insurance. I need affordable coverage. Any suggestions?
